Lakeland, FL – Watson Clinic recently welcomed a new addition to their team of expert OB-GYN medical providers.
Laura M. Russell, APRN, CNM is a registered nurse practitioner and board-certified Nurse-Midwife who works alongside board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and Urogynecologist and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgeon Tarek G. Garas, MD, FACOG, FACS from the Watson Clinic Bella Vista Building at 1755 N. Florida Ave. in Lakeland. Ms. Russell arrives at Watson Clinic with over 20 years of experience providing OB-GYN services and women’s healthcare, and her areas of expertise include prenatal and postpartum care, contraception management, and gynecologic care for women of all ages.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Wright State University in Dayton, OH, and Master of Science in Midwifery degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She holds her board-certification as a Certified Nurse-Midwife from the American Midwifery Certification Board. She has attained additional certifications in colposcopy from the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and in Nexplanon insertion and removal by the Nexplanon Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy program.
