Saint Leo University Earns Top Rankings in 2025 Military Times Best for Vets: Colleges
University’s rankings rise in all categories over last year, highlighting dedication to military-affiliated students
ST. LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo University has once again been recognized as a national leader in serving military-affiliated students, earning top placements across multiple categories in the 2025 Military Times Best for Vets: Colleges rankings. The university improved its standing in every category from 2024, reflecting its ongoing commitment to active-duty service members, veterans, and military families.
Saint Leo University’s 2025 rankings, among 355 institutions reviewed, include:

  • Overall: No. 53 – jumped 67 spots from 120
  • General Education: No. 50 – newly ranked
  • Private, Nonprofit Schools: No. 10 – up 17 spots from 27
  • In-Person and Online Programs: No. 11 – up 23 spots from 34
  • Southeast Schools: No. 13 – up 19 spots from 32
  • Florida: No. 6 – up 3 spots from 9

Each year, Military Times surveys colleges and universities nationwide to evaluate their veteran-focused programs. Survey responses, combined with public data from the Department of Education and the Department of Veterans Affairs, undergo a rigorous analysis by the Military Times data team to produce trusted and unbiased rankings.

In addition to its residential campus in St. Leo, FL, north of Tampa, students are educated at teaching locations in Florida and Georgia, including at Naval Air Station Key West and MacDill Air Force Base, as well as through the university’s extensive online programs.
