Pasco Expands Housing Options with New ADU Ordinance

PASCO COUNTY, FL  ----  What if you could add a cozy, new home to your property – boosting your family’s comfort or your income?  Thanks to a new rule in Pasco, now you can!
 
Pasco County is allowing property owners to build or create various types of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).  These small, secondary homes can help families live together more comfortably by providing relief from rising rental or mortgage costs.  Or, when used for long-term rentals – they can help you make money.
 
Adding an ADU to your property can provide the following benefits:
 

• Multi-generational living.  Create space for elder parents or young adults.
• Extra income.  Earn income through long-term rental use (more than 180 days).
• Property value boost.  Increase the overall worth of your home.

• ADU will be on a property zoned for single-family homes
• Unit will be built on a permanent, fixed foundation
