Pasco County Urges Water Conservation

Pasco County Urges Water Conservation
~~Lack of rainfall leads to water shortage order~~

PASCO COUNTY, FL  ---- Pasco County is urging everyone to conserve water and follow watering guidelines to protect our water resources as our dry conditions continue.  The Southwest Florida Water Management District has declared a Phase 1 Moderate Water Shortage through July 1, 2026.

“Saving as little as a gallon of water a day can make a difference, but reducing outdoor water use is one of the easiest and quickest ways to conserve water,” says Pasco County Utilities Customer Information & Services Director Sandra Anderson.  “Regardless of what type of water you use for irrigation – in Pasco you can only water once a week on your assigned day.”

If you use potable, well or surface water for irrigation – you can water between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. only.  For reclaimed water customers – the watering window is between midnight and 8 a.m.
