It’s time to dive in—Bay Scallop Season is back in Pasco County and we’re ready for another unforgettable summer on the water! Starting Thursday, July 10 and running through Monday, August 18, this year’s 40-day season is perfect for locals and visitors alike to enjoy one of our most cherished coastal traditions.
"This is such a special time of year for our community,” says Executive Director Adam Thomas. “Scalloping is a fun, family-friendly adventure that brings generations together, and we’re excited to welcome everyone back for another fantastic season.”
Whether you’re a seasoned scalloper or giving it a try for the first time, Florida’s Sports Coast, the official Tourism Office of Pasco County, offers experienced local guides and charter companies to help you make the most of scalloping season. To book an excursion, click HERE.
Scalloping Regulations & Safety Tips:
- Collect scallops by hand or with a dip net
- Daily bag limit: 2 gallons whole bay scallops in shell or 1 pint shucked per person
- Daily boat limit: 10 gallons in shell or 1/2-gallon shucked meat
- Display a diver-down flag while in the water
