ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. (April 21, 2025) - Around 200 members of the community gathered with AdventHealth leaders and staff to celebrate Easter on Sunday, April 20. AdventHealth Zephyrhills turns 40 years-old this year and the spring before the hospital opened in 1985 was the very first Easter Sunrise Service. This traditional event has created a space for worship, reflection and celebration now for 41 years.

Since our founding, we've held the belief that every patient is a creation of God, deserving of extraordinary whole-person care and we are committed to improving the health, prosperity and well-being of this community," said Mike Murrill, president and CEO of AdventHealth Zephyrhills. "Our Easter Sunrise Service is just one of the many ways our hospital community can connect and commune with our neighbors".
During the ceremony, Murrill invited members of the community to learn more about the new off-site emergency room opening next week. AdventHealth Meadow Pointe ER will host a community event on Sunday, April 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. It's at the corner of State Road 54 and Meadow Pointe Boulevard between Zephyrhills and Wesley Chapel.
AdventHealth Meadow Pointe ER adds a new location to support the growth happening in our community and surrounding areas. This new location will expand access to care across eastern Pasco County and shorten wait times so patients and families can get back to feeling whole again as quickly as possible.
