Adult Literacy Tutor Training at Hugh Embry Library
Learn how to get started helping adults 18+ improve their English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills to meet their individual literacy goals. This is a required workshop for new tutors. Instructor qualifications include, proficiency in English language & grammar, 18+ years, dedication to helping others, sensitive to different backgrounds & cultures and respectful of confidentiality. Requirements include, commit to one year of service, 3-hour training workshop, and demonstrate computer readiness. Registration required.
Dade City Ingenuity Lab: Sneaker Design
Once Upon a Summer Reading Quest! The Ingenuity Lab is set up with materials and activities that encourage children to design, create and explore. This week, join us to create your own sneaker colorway! Waivers for the Ingenuity Lab Makerspace MUST be signed by a parent or legal guardian for every person entering the makerspace.
