The Hugh Embry chess club, a U.S. Chess Federation affiliate, meets weekly and is open to all ages and skill levels.
Dade City Ingenuity Lab: Popsicle Stick Puzzles
The makerspace at Hugh Embry Library is set up with materials and activities that encourage children to design, create and explore. This week, we are creating our own puzzles out of popsicle sticks. An introduction and tour of the Ingenuity Lab Makerspace will be provided for new participants, along with the rules that will make the experience safe and enjoyable for all. Participants will have one hour, including cleanup time, to complete their activity. Waivers for the Ingenuity Lab Makerspace MUST be signed by a parent or legal guardian for every person entering the makerspace.

JJ Caudle, owner and primary instructor, has nearly two decades and more than 3500 hours of teaching experience. She is a member of Yoga Alliance and holds E200RYT, E500RYT, YACEP designations, and is trained and certified in teaching Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, Yoga and Self-Care Strategies, Teaching Seniors, and more.
Hugh Embry Preschool Storytime
Join us for stories, songs, and other fun activities. Children and their grownups participate in playing, reading, singing, movement and other fun activities to build a strong early literacy foundation. Space is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For ages 3 to 5 years.
Hugh Embry Preteen: Oreo Tasting
?Join us as we taste different Oreos and see if we can guess what they are. This event is open to preteens in grades 4-7.
