An introduction and tour of the Ingenuity Lab Makerspace will be provided for new participants, along with the rules that will make the experience safe and enjoyable for all. Participants will have one hour, including cleanup time, to complete their activity. Concert at Hugh Embry: Edwin Culver
Join us at Hugh Embry for an educational concert that tells this history of music. What is it about music that stands the test of time? Why has it been such an important part of every culture throughout history, and what does it tell us about ourselves? Come and hear the GRAND Story of Music from its beginning: an ancient melody discovered beneath Grecian ruins, cheeky folk dances from the medieval era... then find out what happened in the middle: the mind-bending complexity of the Baroque period, heart-wrenching melodies from the Romantic era.... And experience where music is going next: strange, avant-garde sounds written during the world wars, and even brand-new music written by Edwin Culver himself. And perhaps... after encountering the WHOLE story of music, you might find yourself closer to understanding your unique role in this story. This event is free and open to the public.
Mat Yoga at Zephyrhills Public Library
