New River Adult Literacy Tutor Training

Learn how to get started helping adults 18+ improve their English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills to meet their individual literacy goals. This is a required workshop for new tutors. Instructor qualifications include proficient in English language & grammar, age 18 or older, sensitive to different backgrounds & cultures and respectful of confidentiality. Must commit to one year of service, participate in a 3-hour training workshop and demonstrate computer readiness. Registration required.
