DESCRIPTION:PASCO COUNTY\, FL  ----  The UF/IFAS Pasco County Cooperative Extension Service is hosting an Air Potato Beetle Biological Control Program event Wednesday\, February 13\, 2019\, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the One Stop Shop\, located at 15029 14th St.\, in Dade City.\n\n \n\nAnyone who shows up at the event with air potato bulbils (tubers) will have a chance to win an air potato beetle t-shirt!\n\n \n\nPlease visit Bring Your Own Bulbils to register: bit.ly/2AgAwHC.\n\n \n\nThe Air Potato Vine is an invasive plant\, common throughout Central Florida\, which is capable of destroying native plant habitats.  Air potato beetles offer fast\, effective control of the plant.\n\n \n\nRepresentatives from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) Division of Plant Industry will be on hand during this FREE special event to discuss the program and provide handouts and information.\n\n \n\nEnjoy demonstrations\, giveaways\, refreshments\, and free presentations   including a discussion with Biological Scientist Dr. Chris Kerr.\n\n\n\n \n\nThe Pasco County Cooperative Extension Service assists Pasco County residents by developing and delivering practical\, educational programs in environmental horticulture\; sustainable agriculture\; 4 H and youth development\; and family and consumer sciences.
