PASCO COUNTY, FL ---- Pasco County earns a major national award for our forward‑thinking approach to shaping our future! The National Association of Counties (NACo) is honoring Pasco with its prestigious EDGE Excellence in Strategic Planning Award for celebrating our vision, commitment and outstanding work in developing the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan.
“We’ve always been focused on being the very best stewards of taxpayer dollars,” says Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer Dr. Marc Bellas. “This Strategic Planning Award validates our laser focus on turning these dollars into long‑term benefits for the Pasco community.”
As communities across the country strive to build smarter, more resilient systems, Pasco is leading the way. We’re proud that our commitment to collaboration, transparency and long‑term vision has earned Pasco County one of the top honors in government strategic planning.
“Your innovative approach and unwavering commitment have set a new standard for excellence, and we are honored to recognize your achievements,” says Director of NACo EDGE Beth Roberts. “This award not only highlights your remarkable work but also reflects the positive impact you’ve made in shaping the future of your county.”
Pasco’s Strategic Plan envisions a thriving community that offers enhanced quality of life and economic prosperity. Developed over 18 months, with input from both internal and external customers, the plan is guiding Pasco County Government’s actions and activities through 2030 as we work toward becoming Florida’s Premier County.
