~~Volunteers Needed for Countywide Cleanup~~
PASCO COUNTY, FL ---- Get your volunteer hands ready! Keep Pasco Beautiful is partnering with Pasco County for the annual Keep Pasco Beautiful Cleanup. Volunteers will pick up litter along roadways and in public spaces to help keep our community clean and safe.
About 80 percent of the trash in our waterways starts on land. By removing litter before it enters the stormwater system, volunteers help prevent debris from reaching local waterways and the Gulf.
Keep Pasco Beautiful Event Details:
WHEN: Saturday, September 19
TIME: 8 a.m. – noon (end time may vary by location)
WHERE: Various Pasco County Locations
Register to volunteer HERE through September 5. We’ll provide disposable gloves, trash bags and Keep Pasco Beautiful Cleanup T-shirts while supplies last.
This event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup coordinated by Ocean Conservancy. Since 1986, this worldwide event has collected more than 380-million pounds of trash, thanks to more than 18-million volunteers.
The Keep Pasco Beautiful Cleanup is a partnership among Keep Pasco Beautiful, Pasco County, Seaworthy Collective, Reworld Pasco, the Surfing’s Evolution & Preservation Foundation and Tampa Bay Water.
